The Group
Since it was founded in 1935, AROS has taken a perfectly linear journey: putting technological excellence at the service of electrical systems.
For decades, AROS has been the recognised leader in the field of uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs).
The strength of always chasing the highest production standards and constantly anticipating market demands, together with the company’s sensitivity to energy saving and environmental protection, have allowed AROS to apply its know-how in the development of conversion systems for photovoltaic systems. 2006, in fact, saw the company’s debut in the renewable energy field with the introduction of its first range of inverters, today expanded with models from 1.5 kW to 500 kW and complete monitoring solutions.
The AROS range is now able to cover every need, from small domestic systems of just a few kilowatts to solar power plants with several megawatts.
Today, AROS is a division of Riello Elettronica, a holding company for businesses operating in civil and industrial electronics, and in the plant engineering and energy IT sector, in the production of uninterruptible power supplies and in security and home automation systems.
The core business of the group, founded and administered by Pierantonio Riello, are companies that operate in the area of energy conversion and in the production of electronic UPSs. In this context, Riello Elettronica is one of the top four producers in the world, with a range of products able to meet any energy supply need.
Production takes place in at sites in Milan, Legnago and Shanghai, recently opened with new representative offices in Beijing and Shenzhen. Direct involvement in the Asian markets follows a strategy already successfully implemented in France, Germany, Spain and Great Britain and is of paramount importance in terms of direct supply for electronic components.
Research

In the two major production sites in Legnago (Vr) and Cormano (Mi), thanks to the best technologies currently available, there are two Research & Development centres that deal respectively with machines without transformers and those with transformers up to 500 kW.
Here, the most advanced technologies are used to design inverters which interact intelligently with users.
They offer higher performance and efficiency with low running costs and an increasingly functional design.
They minimise maintenance and smoothly integrate with the installation environments.
These products are designed to continue and multiply that capital of reliability that has made AROS the Italian leader in the field.
Quality

AROS products are complex and highly technology developed but with a very simple philosophy: to aim at the highest technical quality.
AROS has UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 certification for the entire company management system and process quality is the approach adopted by the company in every work phase.
Not only production therefore, but everything that lies inside and around the Inverter: from design to staff training and after-sales support. All this is completed by quality controls on the units which include 100% functional tests on the cards and the finished products as well as a 100% run-in assessment on the tested product.
AROS carries the concept of quality to an extreme because only in this way can it guarantee users the peace of mind they expect.
Environment
Protecting the environment, for the peace of mind of all.
AROS has always paid a high level of attention to the impact of its activities on the environment and therefore has obtained ISO 14001 certification, implementing all the pollution-reduction and resource-control procedures.
This means managing waste in compliance with applicable laws, avoiding wastage of materials and energy, requiring the same procedure from suppliers.
AROS has also complied with the guidelines set by the European Union relating to the management and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and the prohibition of use of hazardous substances on products marketed (RoHS).
In developing new products, AROS personnel devotes extensive resources to evaluating the impact they have on the environment. Printed circuit boards, wiring, adhesives, connectors and other components are free of toxic substances such as CFCs, HCFCs, lead, mercury, brominated flame retardants (BFRs) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
We also work to minimise the impact that our packaging has on the environment, reducing its dimensions and, consequently, the impact on the energy required for the transportation and storage of products, all using fully recyclable materials.
This is a sign that, for AROS, the quality of the environment is not based on the commercial need to adorn itself with a mark or a certificate, but from the conviction that these are values on which a business whose objective is the future should be based.
