TYPICAL USES FOR PENETRON
PENETRON products are used to treat concrete or block structures exposed to potential water or chemical attack – that require reduced permeability, permanent waterproofing and protection, even under high hydrostatic conditions. It is applied to either the positive side (side exposed to water) or the negative side (side opposite water) and meets all waterproofing requirements.

THE PENETRON ADVANTAGES
Unlike a coating or membrane solution, PENETRON becomes an integral part of the concrete. PENETRON enhances durability by reducing permeability of the concrete, preventing water and other corrosives agents from penetrating.
– Penetrates deeply: up to 1 meter; seals capillary tracts and cracks in concrete up to 400 microns in width
– Integral: becomes an integral part of the concrete and reduces permeability; waterproofing, chemical resistance and other enhanced concrete properties remain intact even after surface damage
– Permanent: once the concrete is treated, the PENETRON crystals remain active and part of the concrete for life
– Enhances durability: greatly reduces permeability, allowing concrete to resist chemical attack and provides a wide range of protection from freeze-thaw cycles, corrosion, aggressive groundwater, sea water, carbonates, chlorides, sulfates and nitrates
– Enhanced strength: does not come apart at the seams, tear or puncture; increases compressive strength of concrete
– Economical: more effective and less costly than membranes, clay panels, pore blockers, and coatings
