FRAMES FOR SLIDING DOORS

Made in Italy

Enjoying to the full the open spaces of our homes

Enjoying to the full the open spaces of our homes, knowing that a simple gesture can help us discover new-found comfort and intimacy. Having doors when they are needed and making them disappear when they aren’t; “an idea” and a product. Behind “the idea” that Scrigno had – a frame for concealed sliding doors – lie seven years of design, adjustments, technical tests and applications; an artisan commitment and passion that led to the realisation in 1988 of the first real, industrial-scale “modular system”. It immediately enjoyed considerable success and proved hugely popular with the market, experts and private individuals alike.

scrigno_base

BASE
This system permits a sliding door to be concealed and is the simplest model for enhancing environments and gaining vital extra space. It is ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and box rooms where it is essential to save space, but also suitable for all other rooms in the home. It can also be used in other buildings such as hotels and restaurants. Available for masonry and plasterboard walls. Also available in non-standard sizes, in heights varying to the nearest centimetre.

BASE DOUBLE
scrigno_basedoppioThis system allows two opposite sliding doors to be concealed in recesses on the left and right of the wall opening. It requires the installation of two metal boxes. With Scrigno Base Double, two adjacent rooms can be transformed into a single space easily and practically. Available for masonry and plasterboard walls. Also available in non-standard sizes, in heights varying to the nearest centimetre. A handy mechanism for simultaneous door opening can be fitted on request.

GRANLUCE

scrigno_granluceThis frame is designed for those who love large open spaces. A single metal box can house two parallel sliding doors connected by a synchronized sliding movement system. This system of overlapping parallel doors that move together when opened is the characteristic feature of the Granluce system. Two metal boxes installed on each side of the doorway can easily transform two adjacent rooms into a large, single space. The double version of Scrigno Granluce allows for a maximum opening width of 480 cm with minimum space occupied. Available in single and double versions, for masonry walls only. Also available in non-standard sizes, in heights varying to the nearest centimetre.

scrigno_remixREMIX
An exclusive Scrigno patent, Remix is a frame based on an evolution of Base and Granluce models, and is an innovative product that can contain two disappearing glass doors linked by a sliding system inside a single metal box. The special feature of Remix is that it can be built into a normal wall with a thickness of just 10.5 cm, and the glassdoors have a thickness of 1 cm. Available only in the single-door version for masonry walls. Also available in non-standard sizes with heights variable in steps of 1 cm.

PRATICO

scrigno_praticoThe system consists of a single metal box that can house two doors sliding in opposite directions. The single central box provides access to two adjacent rooms, with a total opening space that is double that occupied. It is the ideal solution for two adjacent rooms like two bedrooms or a bathroom and a bedroom, and is also particularly suitable for providing access to two separate bathroom areas, for example in public venues. Available only for masonry walls. Also available in non-standard sizes, in heights varying to the nearest centimetre.

APPLAUSO
scrigno_applausoThe main feature of Applauso frames is that they are fitted with doors that fold over each other like the pages of a book. The folded door occupies less space inside the metal box, making it possible to install a standardsized sliding concealed door even where little space is available. Applauso is therefore the ideal solution for those with limited wall space available for housing the metal box, who nevertheless prefer a wide doorway. The double version of Scrigno Applauso allows for an opening width of 240 cm with minimum space occupied. Available in single and double versions for masonry walls only. Available in two standard heights.

scrigno_armonicoARMONICO
This system features a door that opens to 90°, sliding back into the wall to be only partially concealed (half-sliding and half-hinged) and therefore allowing space to be recovered even when only limited space is available for installing the frame. Minimum space is occupied, about half the opening of the doorway created, making it particularly suitable for bathrooms, box rooms and corridors. The double version of Scrigno Armonico allows for an opening width of 240 cm with minimum space occupied. Available in single and double versions, for masonry walls only.  Available in two standard heights.

scrigno_surpriseSURPRISE
This frame features doors with a special sliding system that allows one door to slide telescopically into the other, which in turn slides back into the metal box in the wall. The particular design of the Surprise frame means it can only be used with Lorica doors from the Unique range. Available in single and double versions, for masonry walls only. Also available in non-standard sizes, in heights varying to the nearest centimetre.

CONTATTO
scrigno_contattoThis frame is used to create a window or other opening linking two rooms, for example for use as a serving hatch, and features a reduced height sliding panel. Available in one and two-door versions and for masonry and plasterboard walls. Available in heights varying to the nearest centimetre.

ORBITALE
scrigno_orbitaleThis system allows one or more curved sliding doors to be concealed in a wall. Scrigno Orbitale permits maximum personalization of spaces, catering for modern needs for visual design and functionality. Available in one and two-door versions and for masonry and plasterboard walls. Also available in non-standard sizes, in heights varying to the nearest centimetre. It is based on five standard radius (1000 mm, 1200 mm, 1500 mm, 1700 mm, 2000 mm).

VARIO
scrigno_varioThis system allows a low sliding concealed door to be installed and is therefore, suitable for attic conversions, basements, garages, cellars and box rooms. Available in one and two-door versions and for masonry and plasterboard walls. Available in heights varying to the nearest centimetre.
