A new air conditioning concept makes headway with AISIN-TOYOTA to provide a practical response to three of the most important needs of our time: environmental care, maximum efficiency, and savings.
The Gas Heat Pump (GHP) represents a revolutionary innovation in air conditioning: heating, cooling and production of domestic hot water for any environment (private homes, offices, hotels, factories), today can rely on the clean energy offered by the use of gas (natural gas or LPG); the outdoor unit compressors are driven by an endothermic engine, which replaces the electrical power supply, with significant and varied advantages: from environmental care to the ability of working under extreme conditions of operation, from energy savings to low operating costs.
This way, it is possible to initiate a virtuous circle in which each element – ecology, savings, performance – participates in boosting the effects of the others, for an overall optimal result.

Aesthetics, silence and comfort: AISIN has an answer for every need.
- GHP is an outdoor unit that does not require the use of technical rooms; thus the usable space does not have to be used when installing the product. Also, it is not affected by energy losses; thus, it can be positioned even at a significant distance from the building, with an additional aesthetic advantage (just consider its use for hotels and farm holiday centre that must protect image and beauty).
- The GHP’s engine works at low speed and this reduces noise considerably.
- An intelligent thermal change management system: independently from the external temperature, the internal one remains constant, providing maximum comfort.
Performance

- The TOYOTA engine allows to exploit the potential of natural gas or LPG and to recover the heat generated by exhaust gases, generating up to 190 units of thermal energy starting from the 100 units of primary energy.
- Differently from electrical plants, AISIN’s core does not fear cold temperatures: even at a temperature of 20°C below zero its operation is guaranteed and reaching the ideal temperature is quick.
- A versatile type of Technology: AISIN GHPs can be used in direct expansion plants and traditional water technology plants.
Savings
AISIN GHPs have excellent results to show, to respond to the need of reducing costs – from private individuals to businesses, from public entities to public administrations.
- Reduction of operating costs, with savings up to 40% respect to alternative systems (thanks to the low ordinary maintenance requirements, limited to the replacement of spark plugs, filters, and oil level check every 10,000 running h.)
- Electrical consumption savings up to 90%.
- Operation at low voltage allows the use of single-phase supply and it avoids the need of building electrical rooms or modifying an existing electrical distribution contract.
- The possibility of using the existing piping systems offers additionalsavings in installation costs (in case of an Air Water System).
