Ceramiche Keope is an Italian ceramic company that studies, designs and produces porcelain stoneware floor and wall tiles in Italy.

Its history began in 1995 within the historical Gruppo Concorde and immediately sees us as protagonists in the ceramic industry.

Today, the production exceeds five million square metres per year across a total of eighty countries. The Company believes in technological and process innovation, but it keeps the meticulous eye of the craftsman. Ceramiche Keope cares for the health and safety of its employees; the environment and sustainability have always been the basis of its work.

Thanks to their mineralogical composition and production process, our products do not fear alterations and aggressions such as impacts, abrasions, fire, frost, moisture, weight, climate and preserve over time the colour and appearance of the first day.

Ceramics does not emit any organic substances, does not fuel allergies and is easily cleaned. The quality and beauty obtained are the result of investments in technology and a strong commitment to develop products with a high aesthetic content.

Greenthinking

GREENTHINKING is the Keope project designed to meet the objectives of sustainable development. Keope is actually one of the companies with the higher attention level to the ecological characteristics in the tile industry.

In line with the most advanced technological evolution, Keope has committed itself to a strict programme of eco-sustainability, which began years ago supporting the Kyoto Protocol, to reduce Co2 emissions, and has continued with the attainment of the HPD certification, which attests the health of the products.

Winner of awards in the past for the “Green Management”, Keope became a member of the US Green Building Council for ecofriendly buildings.

The “Greenthinking” mark is the symbol of Keope commitment to protection of nature.

Our collections, rich in sizes and finishes and characterized by refined shades of colour, allow designers to create visually stimulating spaces, comfortable and beautiful to live in.

The exact interaction between shapes and materials is the result of strategy and research: they are the first tools to enhance the architectural choices without forgetting the environmental impact. Each creation is a unique blend of well-reasoned choices, for unique results, both technical and aesthetic.

Certifications

All Keope products are tested and classified according to the UPEC standards, in order to certify their appropriateness with regard to the intended uses. The tests which the tiles undergo at the “Centre Scientifique du Bâtiment (CSTB)” – in accordance with current ISO regulations – are extremely selective and are aimed at establishing the resistance and performance of the products with respect to four fundamental “dimensions”: resistance to wear (U), perforation (P), water (E) and chemical attack (C).

All tiles can be classified in accordance with UPEC standards. This classification makes it possible to find out easily the most appropriate uses for each product and to compare products from the point of view of their technical performance. UPEC certification is carried out by subjecting the tiles to various tests organised by the CSTB using ISO test methods in order to test their technical characteristics and check their behaviour.

A number is associated with each letter to indicate the performance of the material. The higher the number, the better are the technical characteristics of the material examined.
