Energy saving and high performance
The versatile Leonardo ceiling system can be used for a wide range of applications.
The system is composed of modular plasterboard panels with pre-inserted, zigzagging MidiX tubing.
The zigzag design maximises the heat-exchange surface between the tubing and plasterboard.
The plasterboard panel is supplied bonded to an insulating sheet of expanded polystyrene having a declared thermal conductivity equal to 0.034 W/mK in the 10 cm spacing version and a sheet of expanded polystyrene sintered with graphite equal to 0.030 W/m*K the 5.5 cm spacing version.

In contrast to the 8×1.1 mm tubing used in traditional radiant ceiling systems, the tubing used in the new Leonardo system has a diameter of 10×1.3 mm. With a diameter increase of 25%, the Leonardo system performs significantly better.
Flexible design and installation
The extreme versatility of the Leonardo system is evident both in its design and installation.
The panel has been designed with integrated tubing having two autonomous circuits.
This means the plasterboard sheet can be cut into two mirror-equal parts, each with its own tubing system.
Low thermal inertia
The diameter and thickness of the tubing (MidiX 10×1.3 mm), the plasterboard-integrated tubing (resulting in an 8% increase in output compared to insulation-integrated tubing) and the special undulating pattern make the Leonardo a high-output ceiling system with a very low thermal inertia.
